Tackling the Gray Areas Seminar
The Chapter held its annual Ethics, Professionalism and Substance Abuse CLE "Tackling the Gray Areas" on December 12, 2008 at the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse. Three leading area practitioners with real-world experience in the areas of ethics, attorney grievance proceedings and loss prevention shared their insights, lessons learned, and tools for tackling the gray areas.  This program was FREE to all Chapter members and open to non-members at low rates.

Rise and Shine
The Chapter held a members-only networking breakfast on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the offices of Calfee Halter & Griswold in Cleveland.  The purpose of the members-only networking breakfasts is to bring local FBA members together four times a year to market themselves and their practices to each other.  We provide an informal opportunity for members to introduce themselves, explain their practice and network with other federal practitioners in the northern district of Ohio. After each breakfast, members have the opportunity to continue the exchange of dialogue by participating in an online discussion group.  This online discussion group is open exclusively to FBA-NDOC networking breakfast participants.
Federal Employment Litigation Seminar
The Chapter presented a Federal Employment Litigation Seminar on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Court House. Topics for this seminar included FLSA collective actions; evidentiary issues in employment discrimination trials; amendments to FMLA for military families; and "do's and don'ts" in federal employment discrimination trials.
