New Lawyer Training CLE Seminars
All new Ohio lawyers must complete 12 hours of specialized New Lawyer Training credits in their first reporting period.
The Federal Bar Association is now offering the 2012 New Lawyer Training Curriculum - a series of substantive NLT seminars designed to fully satisfy the CLE requirement and offer new lawyers the kind of practical training they need at the beginning of their careers. All other lawyers will receive general credits.
Speakers will include the Bench and bar of Federal practice sharing their expertise.
Areas of interest include:
August 28th, 9:00-12:10 PM, 3 Hours of CLE Credit
Standing Up in Court: pretrial proceeding and motions; expert witness testimony; using exhibits, depositions and technology.
August 28th, 2:00-5:15 PM, 3 Hours of CLE Credit
What they didn't teach you in law school:Local rules, case management, mediations, jury selection
August 29th, 9:00-12:10 PM, 3 Hours of CLE Credit
Professionalism, Law Office Management and Client Funds Management: conflicts of interest/waivers,networking.
August 29th, 1:30-4:45 PM, 3 Hours of CLE Credit
What you need to know about...:criminal law, collections. personal injury, antitrust,bankruptcy and employment law
*Registration begins 30 minutes before each seminar
Each program can be selected separately or sign up for the full two days. The programs are all held at the US Courthouse, from 8:30-12:15/1:30-5:15.
Walk-in registration available:
Member Rate: $90 per CLE Seminar or $324 for all (4) seminars
Non-Member Rate: $115 per CLE Seminar or $414 for all (4) Seminars (must pay at door with a check).
An application for accreditation as an approved NLT CLE program has been submitted to the Supreme Court of Ohio
